The best Holidays ever
It’s commonly thought that the northern part of our country (Chile), its full of flat, boring and dirty landscapes, with cities like Copiapo or Calama vilified among the more southerner’s habitants of Chile like us. My mindset about this was bias, but my experience going on vacation to “Pan de Azucar” National Park completely change my mindset.
On holiday 2021 more specifically between February 7 and 17, I traveled with my parents to Pan de Azucar National Park, which its located on the coastal side of the Atacama Region, it’s important to note that this was during the pandemic that we all have suffered this last year and a half. We set camp in the camping sites available inside the park, and from there we managed to do activities like trekking (a lot) and photography of wildlife, but more importantly, we connected with this beautiful environment put in front of us. Since there this trip was transformed in a deep learning about how a desertic, sometimes flat, environment can be beautiful in his own way, like for example seeing the amazing wild animals living there, like guanacos, foxes, chungungos and a lot of insects, or the flora that, even in this harsh environment, could thrive like cactus of all kinds. Finally, the most important thing that happened that holiday was that I went with the two most important persons in my life that are my mom and dad, and connecting with them in our different activities, like trekking for example, it’s something that i will always carry in my heart, and the Atacama Desert was the grand stage for these unforgettable moments.
